The isolated islands of Seychelles are a fragile home to a variety of unique and amazing plants and animals. Their survival is threatened by a host of past and present human activities from the removal of forest and coastal pollution to the introduction of alien species and over exploitation of the marine environment.
An important initiative in raising local awareness and support has been the creation of the Wildlife Clubs of Seychelles (WCS). FOC is supporting the work of the WCS - the WCS have a high profile in the Seychelles, promoting conservation and environmental education for children.
